I do have it, the only problem is, I have absolutely no idea how to upload a clip for everyone's viewing pleasure! I could rip it from the DVD but that's about as far as that goes.
Yes! I a friend has it right now, but I will get it back tomorrow. I'm off Wednesday and can work on it then. I can rip it from the DVD but I don't know where to go from there.
Groovy. What are you using to rip it from DVD? That will help me direct you to your next step. :)
Also, it might be simpler if you send me the DVD Rip directly and then I can convert it since I have all the software already for vidding. Either way, shoot me an email at sdwolfpup(at)hotmail.com on Wednesday when you're ready and we'll work something out. It's not too difficult.
SmartRipper > DVD2AVI (I pull a .d2v file out of this) > TMPGEnc (to get an .mpg)
I think your best bet is going from SmartRipper to DVD2AVI and just trying to pull an AVI directly out of that, since it has that capability. If that doesn't work, then instead of the TMPGEnc step, I'd recommend VirtualDub instead (because VDub is the shizznit). I'm not sure what tutorial you're using, but this is the place I got my start:
Thank you! The one I was using seeemed fairly simple, but it had me download a program to use that kept saying the files were corrupted. However, I also downloaded VirtualDub along with it. I'm gonna try your tutorial and see what I get. (I'm such a newbie!)
That's so exciting! Let me know if you're having problems with it -- I don't know how to do it myself, but we can always spread the word and put calls out for people who do understand how to do it. Eeeee! So excited! Eeeee!!
You might want to consider uploading it to www.yousendit.com . That way you can just give the link to people to download and not have to worry about sending out idividual emails or finding a site that has the free bandwidth to do it.
